Popular culture is the people, places, and things that the mainstream deems best. Popular culture to me means nothing. I am not a person that loves something because everyone else does, but I do see the significance pop culture has on business and basically every other aspect of daily life. Pop Culture is definately going to be a main concern in my future proffesion dealing with computers. This is true because a computer proffesion will deal with what the mainstream wants in regaurds with software, games, Web Sites, companies, and computer systems.
The videos above are a representaion of what the rock & roll mainstream deems to be good mucisians. It is a video of Disturbed's new song Indestructible, and its song Prayer. It seems like the song Prayer is a song about the cultural wastelands filled with religious nuts and prostitutes that basically mean the same thing, the U.S. culture is filled with people that are too immeresed within the pop culture, as well as how drugs have become apart of pop culture within the U.S. Disturbed has an uncaney ability to produce music that the rock & roll mainstream desires. Since the band's formation, they have sold over 11 million albums worldwide, released three consecutive number-one albums, and have been nominated for a grammy award, making them one of the most successful rock bands in recent years.

Awesome videos, great choice for your artifact, Disturbed has definitely grasped the idea of what today’s American mainstream pop culture, thrives for. They are definitely a band that has something to say within their music. I would have to say that this new song is also a tribute to out soldiers, friends, family, and falling comrades, makes me think about my time served in the military.
